Mark Hall was a Senior Director in GE Real Estates’ Strategic Accounts Group responsible for commercial lending and equity investments in US based opportunity funds and public REITs/Companies. GE’s Strategic Accounts Group covered GE’s premier clients and customers. Accounts covered by Mark included Carlyle, Starwood, Apollo, Colony Capital, etc. He was previously Senior Banker in GE Real Estate’s Large Loan CMBS Group, driving the Group’s success by generating 90% of the net income for the entire group in 1999. Mark also bought billions of loans for GE in secondary markets throughout his 12-year employment.

In 2008, Mark was selected for and successfully completed GE’s Crotonville NY Senior Management Training, a highly acclaimed rigorous training program for GE’s Senior Management personnel.

Mark joined GE Real Estate in 1997 to start GE’s first large loan CMBS group which handled all GE CMBS transactions over $35MM. From 1997 to 2009, Mark was GE’s longest tenured large-loan Banker, closing over $6B of large loan business from Institutional borrowers across the country.

Prior to joining GE, Mark was Director of Originations and a member of the Board of Directors of Wingate Capital (CW Capital) and from 1991-1997 headed up national production for Continental Wingate’s retail commercial mortgage group focusing on FHA/GNMA Project Loan transactions, and supervised billions in GNMA backed Project Loan closings. Prior to 1990, Mark was the top producer for, and helped manage the Kidder Peabody/Wingate equity funds which exclusively invested in multi-family real estate by wrapping a participation around GNMA securities.

From 1983-1986 Mark was Head of Development for the Hanover Companies, which developed multifamily housing. Mark is a Section 79 Registered Rep, CPA, and has a B.A. and MBA from Brigham Young University.

As the Founder and Managing Director of Summer Street Advisors, LLC (SSA), Jack Mullen draws on his expertise and extensive knowledge of the CRE industry to lead the firm’s transactional management initiatives for multi-million and multi-billion dollar projects in the United States and beyond.

Prior to the formation of SSA in 2010, Mr. Mullen was an executive member of GE Capital Real Estate’s Global Valuation Team and was responsible for managing transaction teams in the due diligence, valuation and underwriting sectors, supporting the acquisition of $10 billion in CRE investments. Previously, he served as Vice President with Turing Capital where he was responsible for risk and transaction management for corporate and commercial real estate lending opportunities. Mr. Mullen has also held key positions with Chase Manhattan Bank, Chemical Bank and Finova Capital.

Mr. Mullen’s by-lined articles, which assess critical topics facing the commercial real estate industry, have been exclusively featured in GlobeSt.com and CREFC Finance World. He is also a preferred contributor of articles in leading business publications, including Commercial Mortgage Alert and PERE.

A seasoned speaker, Mr. Mullen is invited to speak at numerous industry events and is a preferred guest lecturer for business classes and seminars at several prestigious educational institutions, including NYU, Fordham University and Baruch College. He continues to be positioned at the forefront of the evolving and complex CRE industry through hosted thought-leader roundtable networking events which assemble experts and executives who are actively shaping and influencing the marketplace.

Mr. Mullen is the former President of the Real Estate Finance Association of Connecticut (REFA CT). Additionally, Mr. Mullen is a member of CREFC (CRE Finance Council) and CRE (The Counselors of Real Estate), and is Six Sigma Green Belt Certified. Mr. Mullen earned his MBA from Fordham University and a BA degree in Economics and Political Science from Salve Regina University.
